PM’s visit recognises Mulcahy as an Innovative Export Success

Mulcahy was visited by Prime Minister John Key during a recent tour of select high-performing businesses in the Avondale electorate.

The visit was coordinated by National electorate MP, Melissa Lee, who had selected Mulcahy because of our ongoing export success and willingness to engage in an ongoing apprenticeship programme.

The Prime Minister was introduced to our current batch of high performing apprentices and addressed the whole company on the important role we play as an ‘enabler’ to the New Zealand export community.

In a tough export environment the company has focussed on maximising internal productivity through adopting lean manufacturing techniques, using these to drive continuous improvement along with a strong focus on apprentice development.
