LEGEND is an appropriate word to describe this man. Vic Jacka will retire at the end of this year after what will be close to 38 years of service. Vic started with Mulcahy in January 1984, integrating himself into the then team of five and quickly establishing himself as a highly skilled tradesman. Someone you could give any job or project to with confidence, he would always approach it with his professional and positive can-do attitude.
As part of the government’s drive to increase the number of trade apprenticeships across New Zealand, Prime Minister Jacinda Adern visited the Mulcahy workshops in Avondale this week to learn more about the company’s ongoing commitment to apprentice development.
